POSITION OVERVIEW

The marketing department at Danica is essential to support the corporate strategy by acting as the brand guardian, with a sharp focus on elevating both the corporate and product brands across multiple sales channels. As a key member of the team, the Senior Digital Marketer plays a crucial leadership role in driving the success of marketing initiatives and creating impactful content that resonates across all touchpoints. This role will oversee a broad range of activities, including email marketing, social media, website updates, event marketing, advertisements and more, with the goal of driving sales and enhancing brand presence.

 

The Senior Digital Marketer will take full ownership of initiatives and collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Operations, Creative, and Product Development, as well as external partners. This position requires a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ability to manage day-to-day marketing operations, while continuously optimizing efforts for maximum impact.

 

 

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Website & Digital Content

  • Lead management and enhancements for B2B ecommerce website, ensuring all product data, content, and customer experiences are optimized across the site.
  • Oversee seasonal product launches, ensuring coordination with the Sales, Graphics, and Product teams for accurate and timely product content updates.
  • Oversee marketing efforts on external sales channels (Faire.com, Amazon.com, MarketTime, etc.), providing direction and optimizing presence.
  • Manage updates to D2C websites, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with broader marketing efforts.

 

Email Marketing

  • Lead the strategic creation and execution of B2B and D2C marketing and communication programs across multiple customer touchpoints, ensuring alignment with brand and product messaging.
  • Design, create, and manage comprehensive email marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee and maintain B2B customer and rep lists, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Marketing Performance

  • Track, measure, and analyze marketing data in order to guide marketing initiatives and optimize success
  • Develop and lead transition to CRM and consistently provide detailed performance reports and insights on marketing efforts.
  • Maintain and oversee the Marketing Calendar, ensuring that campaigns are executed on time and meet defined objectives.

Social Media

  • Develop and lead the social media strategy for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, ensuring dynamic and engaging content.
  • Oversee the daily social media schedule, utilizing tools like Later or similar platforms for content planning and publishing.
  • Supervise and respond to customer inquiries and interactions on social platforms, ensuring timely and quality responses that reflect brand values.
  • Stay on top of social media trends and best practices, proactively recommending improvements to optimize the strategy.

 

The Experience of a strong candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on B2B and D2C environments, especially related to lifestyle products and brands.
  • A post-secondary education in Marketing or a related field, with a relevant diploma, degree, or certificate.
  • Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms, specifically Shopify Plus, and knowledge of integrating marketing efforts across platforms.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple marketing channels, meeting varying deadlines, and efficiently handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong background in managing social media channels and utilizing tools like Facebook Business Manager, Later, etc.
  • Proven experience leading and managing email marketing campaigns, preferably with tools like MailChimp or Omnisend.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Basecamp) with a keen ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SEO and Google Analytics, with a focus on driving digital marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional marketing copywriting and editing skills for diverse channels such as social media, email campaigns, and sales materials.
  • High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and tools like Canva for design-related tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail and ability to lead and motivate a team.
