We're looking for a digital marketing intern who brings real skills, sharp ideas, and a creative mindset. This is a collaborative role for someone who already understands digital strategy and wants to apply that knowledge. You’ll create content aligned with campaign goals, grow your portfolio, and sharpen the tools you’ll use throughout your career, like SEO, analytics, and brand development. You'll be part of a team that values your input, encourages initiative, and supports your growth as a communicator and strategist.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marcomm team to support digital marketing and content campaigns
  • Develop SEO-focused content and track keyword performance
  • Monitor site analytics, search rankings, and user engagement metrics
  • Contribute to paid search and organic marketing efforts
  • Create short-form, brand-aligned content using Canva and messaging frameworks
  • Stay current on digital trends, tools, and search engine algorithm updates
  • Suggest strategies to improve reach, engagement, and conversion
  • Help plan and implement web and social media content calendars

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current student at The University of Texas at Austin.
  • The position is well-suited for a person who is organized, productive, resourceful, and professional.
  • Prior experience with project management and team collaboration tools such as Wrike is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • At least one relevant course in marketing, communications, or digital media
  • Prior internship, part-time job, or freelance experience in digital marketing
  • Experience with Canva and foundational design principles (color, type, layout)
  • Familiarity with digital tools (Google Analytics 4, Semrush, or similar)
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and content strategy
  • Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and contribute ideas
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting
  • Bonus: Experience with project management tools
