Job Summary

Assist Marketing/Brand Team in various social media marketing tasks while applying learnings from formal education.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Develop and schedule engaging content across multiple social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages, ensuring timely responses and engagement.
  • Collaborate on social media strategies to increase brand awareness and follower growth.
  • Assist in developing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting digital campaign metrics.
  • Collaborate with the brand team in promotional planning and idea generation.
  • Participate in product development and market research.
  • Develop marketing/promotional calendars and schedule deliverables.

Who You Are: 

  • Curious and passionate about all things social media marketing; can easily turn a concept into compelling content.
  • “Chronically online” personality who is always keeping up with the latest social media trends across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube, and is able to apply trends to brand content.
  • Creative, comfortable in front of the camera, willing to be in content, and eager to learn.
  • Possess a high level of self-awareness to embody the brand’s voice, ensuring all communication is authentic to our identity and impactful for our target audience, including their cultural references and social spheres of influence and interest.
  • You are comfortable pivoting between professional corporate messaging and creative consumer engagement, maintaining excellence across both.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Current Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate with studies in web development/management, marketing, public relations, advertising, or a related field.
  • Experience posting from and/or working in Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube platforms in addition to their professional tool counterparts (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Center, Pinterest Business Hub, YouTube Creator Studio).
  • Demonstrate creativity with the ability to be comfortable appearing on-camera for social media content, including short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Hands-on experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite; familiar with Google Analytics; proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience in AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to enhance productivity.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills with the ability to present ideas to various levels of the company.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and pay excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with research online and in databases. 
  • Goal and achievement oriented with eagerness to learn.
  • Available 15-20 hours per week.

 

Physical Requirements:

Office Worker

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
