Role Description 

The Senior Content Writer is responsible for delivering high-quality content and supporting content operations that align with Arcadis’ global and regional communication priorities. This role focuses on managing content development processes, producing accurate and engaging materials, and ensuring consistency with the Arcadis tone of voice and brand standards across all outputs.

The primary purpose is to create clear, well-researched, and audience-relevant content while supporting the efficient delivery of content services within the Global Shared Service Centre (GSSC). This includes contributing to campaign content, maintaining quality through editing and reviews, and supporting collaboration across teams. The role also provides administrative and operational support to ensure smooth workflow management, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of the content capability. 

Role Responsibilities

Content Development and Quality Delivery

  • Develop high-quality external content, including case studies, articles, blogs, social media captions, and long-form materials, in line with Arcadis tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Support content development for campaigns and global or regional communications initiatives.
  • Conduct research and stakeholder interviews to ensure accuracy, relevance, and completeness of content.
  • Edit and proofread your own work and that of others to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality standards are met.

Process Management and Delivery Excellence

  • Review content briefs and clarify requirements, timelines, and scope with stakeholders where needed.
  • Manage assigned tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs.
  • Conduct quality reviews of assignments completed by the Content Team to maintain consistency and standards.  
  • Maintain and update the Content Team’s knowledge database to support continuity and efficiency.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Support

  • Work closely with stakeholders to support communication needs and align on messaging requirements.  
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team to strengthen overall capability  
  • Contribute to fostering Arcadis’ People First culture through day-to-day interactions and teamwork

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Assist in the preparation of team reports when needed. 
  • Ensure work / content tracker is accurate and up to date at all times.  
  • Maintain regular backups of work files to support data integrity and continuity.  
  • Support engagement initiatives and provide additional administrative assistance as required.

Continuous Improvement and Capability Building

  • Stay informed on industry trends and developments, including advancements in AI tools, to enhance content delivery.  
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, and efficiency within the Content Team.  
  • Contribute to the evolution of content practices through feedback, insights, and adoption of best practices 


Role Requirements

  • An inquisitive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a knack for storytelling with a flair for creative writing.  
  • Confident, proactive and can pitch creative ideas.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with global stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team.
  • At least 8 years of experience in writing and editing, with a focus on long-form and mass media content development; background in journalism is advantageous.
  • Strong written English skills; a degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint); familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Illustrator) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary civil engineering projects and experience in professional services, consultancy, or construction sector is a plus.
