Taylor Career Level This is an Experienced/Senior-Level role at Taylor. With limited direction and guidance, Senior Art Directors and Senior Copywriters work fairly autonomously on assignments of high complexity and coordination, demonstrating advanced craft skills and knowledge reflective of an experienced practitioner. They are also expected to uphold Taylor’s vision and values through personal behaviors, as well as beginning to hold others accountable for the same.
Primary Responsibilities (The What) Creative Thought Leadership
Use strong understanding of client’s business, brand, industry, and target consumers to develop integrated, multi-channel campaigns that meet client business needs and generate measurable results
Remain current on marketing, design, technology, language, and cultural trends, and infuses this knowledge into all creative work
Begin to participate in the strategic account planning process, including reviewing past results and applying learnings
Collaborate effectively with Account and Strategy teams to provide ongoing creative counsel to mid-level clients, bringing unconventional thinking and innovation to the work
Communication & Storytelling
Write, present, and communicate in a polished, articulate and persuasive manner across all mediums, internally and externally
Listen well, building and maintaining relationships internally and externally through respect, responsiveness, and open dialogue
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the agency's business model, structure, and offerings and how they come together in service of a client partner's business needs
Effectively manage internal and client communications, including selling in creative ideas, setting appropriate expectations, and responding to questions or concerns
Demonstrate skill in leading meetings and delivering formal presentations (client and internal)
Contribute positively to Taylor's brand presence by engaging in social channels, thought leadership pieces, case studies, and other content and communications
Concepting
Actively participate in creative ideation and planning for digital & social content, event activations, brand identity systems, print materials, and other campaign elements
Proactively bring in and partners with others to uphold diversity of thought, integration, and collaboration across Taylor disciplines
Effectively refine ideas into fully integrated program concepts that drive business impact and deliver against defined objectives
Work on multiple workstreams/programs simultaneously, ensuring that all work fits together as part of the broader strategy
Execution / Making
Demonstrate accountability and ownership for all creative work on assigned projects, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams of account/PR, strategy, production, and analytics to develop creative that drives business impact
Self-edit creative/design work in progress, incorporating feedback and direction from senior team members and collaborating with them to evolve and elevate the work
Art Direction: Create campaign look and feels, storyboards, comps, and other materials for presentations and final execution
Copywriting: Write creative platforms, manifestos, digital/social copy, and other copy for presentations and final execution
Attend shoots, events, edits, etc., actively collaborate with the team to ensure flawless execution
People Management
May oversee the work of junior team members on specific client accounts and/or projects, delegating well and providing training, guidance, and feedback to ensure their work meets agency and client performance standards
Give appropriate recognition and actively work to motivate and inspire others
Demonstrate diversity of thought, and recognize others who do the same
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent education and work experience
5-7 years’ work experience as a creative in PR, Advertising, or Digital/Social Marketing
A conceptual thinker with an exceptional portfolio of work that is fresh, on trend, and demonstrates your strong pulse on culture, consumers, and media
Experience working across a wide range of media, with an emphasis on integrated programs across digital/social, video, print, and event/experiential
Team player who enjoys working with and helping others in a collaborative environment
Must reside in the New York Metro area and be able to commute to our Manhattan office as needed
Compensation
$100,000 – $120,000
