Job Description
The Marketing Intern supports the efficient operation of the ICONA Resorts Marketing team by assisting in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives that promote the resort’s services, events, and guest experiences across digital and traditional platforms. This internship provides hands-on experience in hospitality marketing, digital advertising, branding, and guest engagement strategies.
This role contributes to creative campaign development, content creation, and brand initiatives while collaborating with team members to enhance visibility, drive engagement, and support revenue goals. The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, and passionate about marketing, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Functions

Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to promote hotel services, rooms, dining outlets, events, and resort services.
Support social media management, including content creation, post scheduling, and engagement tracking.
Help create marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, email newsletters, and website content updates.
Conduct market research on competitors, target audiences, and industry trends.
Assist in monitoring and managing online reputation platforms (e.g. TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, OTA platforms).
Support event promotion efforts and coordinate marketing materials for on-site and special events.
Track marketing performance metrics and assist in preparing reports and summaries.
Maintain organized photo and content libraries for marketing use.
Collaborate with operations, sales, and events teams to ensure brand consistency across all marketing efforts.
Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture meeting.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, email marketing platforms).
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This position operates in an office/hotel setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This role requires forty hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
There is limited travel between hotels and/or to meet potential clients.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current college student or recent graduate with a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Photography or graphic design experience preferred but not required.
Hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of SEO and content marketing.
