Role

Captures content for social media while working closely with the Marketing Manager. Proposes content, campaign ideas and attends community & DECU events. 


Essential Functions


Capturing Content

· Facebook

· Instagram

 Posts

 Reels

· TikTok

Create videos based on current trends

Create campaign-focused videos correlating to current product/service campaigns 

Begin with one TikTok video a week

Use videos of employees that you take

Research current trends and sounds to use

· All content must be first approved by Marketing Specialist


Social Media

· Creative Social Media campaign proposals – specific to Instagram 

· Event advertising

· Create a monthly Social Media calendar based on credit union goals, marketing calendar, market research and current trend, the flexibility to pivot when necessary

· Monitor social media daily and respond to member communication meeting DECU’s service standards

· Execute once monthly

· Collaborate with Marketing Manager on creation of dynamic, impactful and differentiated content for products and services

· Produce blog and actively promote blog subscriptions

· Actively complete market research and seek content from key coworkers


Attend Community & DECU Events

· Take pictures for content

· Each event should have a post on Facebook/Instagram story during the event

· Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Primarily perform work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10lbs. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, computer, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 4-6 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. 

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. 

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines paired with a fast-paced work environment.
