Job Summary
The Marketing Intern will be responsible for performing a variety of professional and administrative duties in support of the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department. Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Essential Duties
- Provides general support to F&M Bank’s Marketing Department.
- Assists with fulfilling marketing materials for branches throughout Long Beach, South Bay and Orange County.
- Assists with administrative tasks such as making copies, distributing mail, cutting and mounting posters.
- Provides quality internal customer service consistent with the standards of the Marketing department and F&M Bank values, policies and procedures.
- Performs all duties in compliance with laws, regulations, Farmers & Merchants Bank policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of Farmers & Merchants Bank information.
- Performs other duties as required including research, proofing, etc.
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

- Proficient using technology including Microsoft Office and internet applications, etc.
- Effective communication skills (listens, speaks, and writes well); able to interact effectively and respectfully with people of various responsibility and authority (employees, key contacts, executives, etc.), including supervisors and co-workers.
- Dedicated to following and maintaining deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize projects accordingly.
- Critical-thinking, judgment and problem-solving skills.

- Desktop Computers.
- Standard Office Equipment (copiers, fax machines, scanners).
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Requires repetitive movement.
- Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Requires using hands to handle, control or feel objects.
- Office setting w/controlled temperature.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year administrative experience in marketing, advertising or communications preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel to various bank locations as needed.
- Some evening and/or weekend hours are required.
