As a Social Media Strategy Intern, you will play a crucial role in helping us define our social media strategy and make recommendations for how we can effectively enter and thrive in this space. You will not be responsible for content creation or production but will focus on understanding the social landscape, analyzing trends, and suggesting strategies to enhance our brandβs visibility, engagement, and overall social media presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Landscape Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research on current social media trends within the beauty, personal care, and lip care industries.
- Analyze competitor brands (both within and outside the lip care space) to determine who is leading in social media and why.
- Identify gaps in the market and analyze which social platforms and strategies are underutilized by competitors.
- Platform Recommendations:
- Evaluate which social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) would be most effective for growing the brandβs presence based on audience demographics and content consumption trends.
- Offer strategic recommendations on how to maximize brand visibility and engagement across different platforms.
- Content Strategy & Direction:
- Develop a content framework that outlines the types of posts, themes, and content categories (e.g., user-generated content, influencer collaborations, tutorials, etc.) that should be prioritized.
- Advise on the tone, messaging, and visual style that would resonate with target audiences, keeping in mind the brand's core values and aesthetic.
- Competitive Benchmarking:
- Identify both emerging and established beauty/lip care brands that are excelling in social media marketing.
- Assess which companies are not prioritizing social media and determine potential opportunities for differentiation.
- Reporting & Insights:
- Provide regular reports on social media trends, industry best practices, and competitor activity.
- Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute insights for future social media strategies.
