This is an on-site position located in Carol Stream, IL.
 

Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Marketing Communications Manager, the Marketing Intern will support a variety of marketing initiatives across AJA’s divisions. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, branding, digital marketing, and cross-functional collaboration, making it an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining real-world marketing experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of marketing materials in alignment with company branding guidelines, including sales collateral, presentations, trade show materials, and digital assets.

  • Assist with drafting and editing content for marketing communications such as emails, brochures, presentations, and website content.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support company events, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.

  • Help maintain website content by reviewing for accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.

  • Assist with basic social media and digital marketing efforts as needed (content support, scheduling, or analytics exposure).

  • Conduct light market or competitor research to support ongoing marketing projects.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and process improvements.

  • Support additional marketing projects and administrative tasks as assigned by the Marketing Communications Manager.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external partners.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute creatively.

Technical Skills (Preferred, not required)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of HTML, content management systems, or digital marketing tools is helpful but not required.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Currently pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • High school interns will be considered based on relevant coursework, skills, and demonstrated interest in marketing.
