Looking for a marketing internship where you’ll actually get to create things?

Skip the coffee runs. Come create real content, try new ideas, and see your work out in the world.

Complete Children’s Health is looking for a creative, curious, and social-media-savvy Marketing Intern to help tell the story of our pediatric practice. If you enjoy designing graphics, creating videos, organizing content, and learning how marketing works in the real world, this could be a great fit.

Bonus: your work will help families and kids across Lincoln.

WHO WE ARE

Complete Children's Health is Lincoln’s most innovative pediatric practice, caring for children and families since 1995.

We have four locations across Lincoln and a team of more than 130 employees, including physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, nurses, and administrative professionals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a hands-on internship where you’ll gain real experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management.

You’ll help ensure that everything families see — online and in our clinics — reflects the quality, professionalism, and warmth of the care we provide.

This role works closely with our HR Director while supporting marketing initiatives across all four clinic locations.

We’re ideally looking for a local marketing or business student interested in a 1–2 year internship who wants meaningful, resume-building experience. Hours will be flexible and most work can be completed remotely!

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our Marketing Intern, you’ll support both digital marketing efforts and in-clinic brand presentation

Projects may include:

• Creating images and writing messaging for digital signs, posters around the clinic, and website content

• Helping maintain a content calendar aligned with seasonal health topics and practice announcements for our website

• Creating short-form videos, educational posts, and practice highlights aligned with CCH’s mission and specialty services including well-child care, adolescent health, behavioral health, dermatology, lactation, and the SHINE Clinic

Filming and editing short videos featuring providers, staff, and clinic locations

• Reviewing and updating the visual presentation of patient-facing materials such as brochures, flyers, signage, forms, and educational handouts to ensure consistent design and brand alignment (This role focuses on presentation and formatting — not medical content.)

Refreshing internal templates such as letterhead, PowerPoint templates, and Word documents to improve consistency and usability

• Updating formatting on CCH-created forms and handouts (removing outdated logos, fixing spacing, and improving layout)

Organizing and maintaining brand materials within an internal system developed by our administrative team so files are easy to find and consistently used

• Monitoring social media engagement and compiling basic performance summaries

All content involving patients or minors requires signed photo/video release authorization, which will be strictly followed.

THIS INTERNSHIP IS GREAT FOR YOU IF

• You’re currently studying Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field

• You’re a self-starter who enjoys taking ownership of projects

• You’re comfortable working independently and receiving feedback

• You enjoy social media, video creation, photography, or digital storytelling

• You have experience with video editing tools

• You’re familiar with Canva

• You have a strong eye for design consistency and visual presentation

• You’re organized and able to manage multiple projects at once

• You’re excited to bring new ideas and teach us a thing or two about digital marketing

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

• This is not a clinical role and does not involve access to patient health information.

• We anticipate this role requiring ~10 hours of work a week with room for growth.

• The role will initially include some in-person time at our clinics, but will transition to remote work once projects and systems are established.

• You’ll occasionally visit our four Lincoln locations for filming, photography, or reviewing materials.

• This role reports to the Director of Human Resources.
