Job Description: Malayalam Content Writer

Location: Ettumanoor, Kottayam, Kerala

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Malayalam Content Writer to produce engaging, accurate, and search-friendly content for our digital platforms. The ideal candidate has excellent command of Malayalam, a flair for storytelling, and an understanding of how content performs online.

• Write original Malayalam content for websites, blogs, articles, social media, ad copy, video scripts, and newsletters
• Translate and adapt English content into natural, culturally relevant Malayalam
• Research topics thoroughly and ensure factual accuracy
• Apply basic SEO practices (keywords, headings, meta descriptions) to improve search visibility
• Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, tone, and consistency
• Collaborate with the SEO, design, and social media teams to align content with campaign goals
• Maintain brand voice across all content
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple content requests at once
• Track content performance and suggest improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Malayalam, Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
• 2+ years of experience in Malayalam content writing, journalism, or digital content creation
• Excellent written Malayalam, with strong grammar, vocabulary, and spelling
• Good working knowledge of English for translation and research
• Familiarity with Malayalam typing tools (Unicode, Google Input Tools, etc.)
• Basic understanding of SEO and content marketing
• Strong research, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to write in different tones (informative, conversational, promotional)

• Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms
• Knowledge of keyword research tools (Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, etc.)
• Experience writing scripts for YouTube or Reels
• Basic familiarity with AI writing tools, with the ability to edit and humanize output
• A portfolio of published Malayalam work
