The Communications Department has an open position for a Digital Communications and Marketing Intern (Temporary/Seasonal). The Communications Department is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and motivated digital communications intern to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the digital team by managing digital metrics, organizing content, and assisting with project management tasks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital and social media, a self-starter, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft Suite, and familiarity with social media platforms are essential. As the primary support for digital metrics and content organization, the intern must excel at multitasking, organization, and quick adaptation to changes. This position also involves assisting with project management tasks to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of deliverables, enhancing the digital team's overall efficiency and effectiveness. The role requires collaboration with multiple people, so exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills are crucial. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain a hands-on understanding of digital marketing and social media and contribute to the department’s success during the organization's busiest period.

 

Based in West Nyack, New York this position requires approximately 35 hours of work per week and may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

 

Responsibilities

• Record and organize statistics for websites, e-newsletters, and social media platforms, helping the team measure impact.
• Work closely with the content team to organize footage into folders, ensuring materials are easy to locate and use.
• Create and maintain an organized system for archiving completed content, categorizing it for "THQ TVs" and "Pillars of Impact" folders.
• Review updates on the project management system to help teams stay on task and ensure no deliverable is overlooked.
• Input filming and editing dates into the project management system and generate weekly calendar updates for the Director, providing a clear roadmap for the team.

 

Qualifications

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

- No prior experience.

 

• Proficiency in Mac OS and Microsoft Suite.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their nuances.
• Ability or willingness to learn tools like Adobe Analytics, Monday.com, and WordPress.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and with a team successfully.
