About the Role

Title Nine is looking for a part-time contract Copywriter to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Creative, this role is responsible for crafting feature and benefit-driven product copy, as well as editorial content across all channels—including email, web, paid and organic social, and product campaigns.

The ideal candidate has experience in both short- and long-form copywriting, product and program naming, and can turn big ideas into compelling brand stories. We’re looking for someone who can write punchy, irreverent, and aspirational copy with an unabashedly feminist POV that aligns with the T9 brand voice.

This position is based out of our Emeryville, CA office: working onsite Monday–Friday. This is a part-time contract position, working 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities 

  • Learn, understand, and embody the T9 brand voice, vibe, and vision.

  • Build a deep knowledge of our products—materials, features, benefits, and end use.

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging product names, descriptions, product page copy, SEO content, and more—all aligned with our brand tonality.

  • Balance creative storytelling with technical copy needs, including SEO best practices.

  • Leverage tools and tech to drive a streamlined, scalable copywriting process.

  • Utilize internal workflow and processes to deliver copy across web and omni-channel platforms

  • Collaborate with the Creative team in brainstorming sessions for seasonal messaging, content campaigns, and new ideas.

You also have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or similar professional experience

  • Mastery of grammar and the English language - a true wordsmith.

  • 2+ years of experience writing, experience writing for a lifestyle brand in the apparel, a plus but not required

  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects, pivot when priorities change and always bring a positive attitude.

  • Experience writing for and owning projects with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Clearly communicate creative and copy rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders; be open to their feedback

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills


Compensation and Benefits:
