Copywriter

TPS Group Holdings, a family of brands including The Paper Store and Uncharted, is dedicated to creating destinations that inspire, delight, and surprise. The Copywriter will be responsible for conceptualizing and expressing the core brand identities ("the why") for both The Paper Store and Uncharted brands across all creative mediums. This multi-brand responsibility requires developing distinct yet cohesive personas, voices, tones, and messaging strategies that align with each brand's unique goals while ensuring they work harmoniously within the overall company portfolio.

The Copywriter reports directly into the Creative Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

                 

• Be a TPS brand ambassador.

• Develop brand campaign and seasonal campaigns. 

Demonstrate understanding of retail stores.

• Establish the overall writing style, brand voice, and brand tone of The Paper Store and Uncharted by working closely with the Creative Director in the development of The Paper Store and its sub brands.

• Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive content strategies that support the overall marketing and business objectives.

• Work with the Marketing, Merchandising, and Buyer Team to create compelling digital, social media, catalog, and direct mail that tells The Paper Store and Uncharted story and elevates the selling attributes of the merchandise and sub brands.

• Write original copy and edit content that connects with our desired audience and drives action for a range of marketing and communications materials.

• Analyze marketing data to identify trends and anticipate consumer needs. Develop a solid understanding of the target audience through online and traditional market research.

• Ensure engaging, relevant, clear, and on-brand communication.

• In conjunction with the Creative Director, own the verbal identity of The Paper Store and Uncharted social media channels to create a fun, energetic and engaging network of organic social media that drives engagement with current customers and attracts new consumers and introduces them to The Paper Store brand.

• Manage multiple projects with the ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly.

• Impeccable attention to detail, understanding and skill as it relates to grammar and spelling are required.

• Manage internal and external communications including Public Relations.

• Have a discerning eye for copy that excites and attracts our target demographic.

• Take part in an environment that supports open exchange of ideas, smart risk taking, and fresh thinking.

• Establish criteria and work procedures to achieve a high level of quality, productivity, and speed.
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in a creative content strategy and/or copywriting role.

 • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, or related field.

• Proactive, assertive team member comfortable working in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment.

 • Demonstrated talent for high-caliber creative campaign copy. Proven ability to translate complex marketing challenges into clear, customer-friendly strategies.

• Retail/fashion editorial experience preferred; e-commerce and social media experience a must 

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, teamwork-based environment.

• Strong communication skills – in writing, verbally, and through presentations to executives.

• Positive, collaborative, flexible, and energetic attitude a must.

• Ability to work 3+ days/week at the Corporate Office in Acton, MA.

• Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance.

• Portfolio is required. Please include examples of digital, social, and print media copywriting. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
