The copywriter is responsible for writing, proofing and editing branded and promotional copy across various platforms (digital, print, product pages, campaigns, etc.) A wide degree of creativity and attention to detail is expected.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a considerable workload and critical deadlines
- Develop engaging, persuasive copy for various projects, ranging from store signs and print mailers to website pages and product descriptions
- Collaborate with graphic designers and cross-functional partners to translate briefs and company priorities into customer-facing stories
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including concepting, writing, proofreading and providing edits
- Conduct research and gather information needed to complete assigned projects (pricing, event information, product specifications, etc.)
- Ensure 100% accuracy on all content, including pricing, product/event information, headlines, grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Continuously evolve the copy through the lifecycle of the project based on strategy changes and feedback
- Participate in reviews, presentations, and other project-related meetings

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree
Communications, Journalism, English or related field
REQUIRED
WORK EXPERIENCE:
2-7 years of related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong writing skills that include tone, structure, grammar, spelling and factual accuracy
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to think big picture
- Ability to manage/execute multiple ongoing projects
- Familiarity with content management systems
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Understanding of retail climate, terminology and SEO
- Working knowledge of InDesign is a plus
