Content Writer & Merchandising Specialist
Location: Remote in Arizona or Texas
Hours/Week: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Rate: $55,000/year
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Content Writer & Merchandising Specialist with a passion for off-roading to create, optimize, and manage high-quality content. This role involves crafting compelling product descriptions, setting up new part listings, updating images, and ensuring SEO best practices. You will also optimize internal linking, support content strategy, and contribute to website navigation features. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Content Management - Set up new part numbers, ensuring accurate and detailed product listings. - Proofread, restructure, and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Content Creation & Optimization - Craft unique, compelling product descriptions that highlight key features and benefits. - Write and edit engaging content for blogs, websites, and social media, focusing on off-road topics. - Optimize all content for search engines to increase visibility and reach.
- Image & Detail Updates - Add high-quality images and update product detail pages following SEO best practices. - Verify facts and ensure content accuracy and relevance in the off-road and adventure industry.
- SEO & Internal Linking - Strategically incorporate keywords and hyperlink blog content to relevant product categories.
- Content Calendar & Strategy Support - Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring timely publication and alignment with marketing goals.
- Category Optimization Strategy – Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the performance and visibility of assigned product categories.
- Product Pairing & Cross-Selling – Identify and implement product relationships to increase add-to-cart value, including frequently bought together recommendations.
- Feature Expansion & Navigation – Improve site navigation and filtering features to enhance the customer shopping experience and streamline product discovery.
- Dynamic Marketing Contributions - Jump in on various marketing projects and initiatives as needed, bringing fresh ideas and creativity to enhance brand engagement.

Required Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Consumer Behavior or a related field required.
- Proven work experience as a Content Editor, Web Editor, or similar role required.
- First-hand experience with content management systems preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), instant messaging, and internet navigation.
