Who we’re looking for

Join Schroders Capital as a Content Writer, Private Markets in the private markets marketing team producing expert content and executing on highly-engaging campaigns to enhance Schroders Capital presence in the growing and dynamic private markets sector.  

The ideal candidate is a dynamic writer with proven experience in creating engaging, editorially sound and commercially oriented content targeting institutional audiences. You’ll also have prior knowledge and experience of optimising and distributing content across a range of client channels to maximise reach and impact. 

You will be able to work autonomously but will be a team player, and will work closely with key stakeholders across Schroders Capital, our central marketing team and regional hubs to produce content that supports key campaign activity and supports sales and fundraising priorities. 

You will have a sound understanding of private markets and private markets solutions, with direct experience producing content related to some or all the underlying asset classes within this investment universe, including private equity, private debt and credit alternatives, infrastructure and renewables, and real estate.

The team

As part of the Schroders Capital Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in bolstering the sales team’s efforts. Our small yet highly focused team possesses expertise in key marketing capabilities, including events, content, digital media, and public relations. We collaborate closely to create integrated marketing campaigns that enhance our brand and support sales enablement across various investment strategies within Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt and Credit Alternatives. As Schroders Capital expands, this represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our private markets division, providing investors with access to diverse investment opportunities and customised strategies.

 

What you’ll do

As the Content Writer, Private Markets, you will be responsible for developing and executing thought leadership content that is a core component of our strategic private markets content strategy, covering the four business pillars within Schroders Capital and covering all private market asset classes.  This in turn sits at the heart of a comprehensive marketing strategy that is designed to help our teams meet ambitious fundraising and business development objectives.  

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Compelling content creation: Leading the creation of high-quality, compelling content across various formats, including articles, reports, blogs, market commentaries, videos, podcasts and infographics.
  • Commercial focus: Prioritising the delivery of content that enables marketing and sales activation globally, whether taking sole responsibility for editorial projects, or contributing expertise as part of a wider effort. 
  • Collaboration across teams and functions: Collaborating with colleagues across our teams, including investment and marketing professionals across all disciplines, to understand our strategies, market trends, and investment themes, and translate these into compelling, actionable content.
  • Brand alignment: Ensuring content is accurate, engaging and aligned with brand guidelines and messaging – and that it is optimised for digital channels, including SEO and social. 
  • Commitment to continuous development: Staying up-to-date with industry best practices in content marketing and applying them to enhance our private markets-focused content initiatives.
  • Competitive landscape: Taking a strong interest in markets, competitors’ activities, regulatory developments and other news flow to identify content opportunities and stay at the forefront of private market developments.

     

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Understanding of two or more private markets investment areas: private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and/or private debt/credit.
  • Proven experience in content writing, especially related to private market asset classes. 
  • Strong knowledge of private investment strategies, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex investment concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal stakeholders.

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Experience in content marketing within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to optimize content for search engines and on social platforms.
  • Proficiency in content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the financial services industry.
