The Vice President will be part of the Public Securities Group global marketing team responsible for producing institutional-quality content to drive fundraising, investor engagement, brand and communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, and the ability to offer creative solutions in producing  engaging and original content across various platforms in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a versatile writer who can adapt their style to suit different audiences and mediums. This individual will collaborate with professionals across the firm, including those in marketing, investments, and investor relations.

The role will report to the Director, Head of Marketing and Communications.

Responsibilities

The Firm is seeking a Vice President to join the Marketing and Communications team in its Chicago office. This person will be responsible for brainstorming, writing and producing thought leadership across all public securities strategies. The individual will manage the content calendar and strategic marketing campaigns in coordination with product managers, marketing and institutional sales. The individual will work closely with the entire Client Relationship Management and Investor Relations team and will regularly interact with investment, finance, operations and legal professionals as well as senior management.

  • Develop and manage all thought leadership content, creating high-quality insights such as white papers, articles, market commentaries, videos and podcasts in addition to email and website copy.

  • Lead the editorial process, ensuring content is aligned with firm goals and supports sales priorities.

  • Research and recommend new technologies to evolve PSG’s marketing toolkit.

  • Act as the project coordinator and editor for large-scale content, such as the annual Stewardship Report, quarterly newsletter, and other firm-wide communications.

  • Collaborate with marketing, investor relations, institutional sales and the investment teams to promote thought leadership content to external audiences and enhance brand awareness.

  • Execute marketing campaigns leveraging digital marketing programs, such as Pardot, Hootsuite, Salesforce, Monday.com and Seismic.

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with compliance.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, seeking feedback from stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of quality content.

  • Generate content ideas and conduct research on industry-related topics.

  • Repurpose materials as needed for various institutional audience segments.

  • Other marketing and communications related projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, marketing/business, or finance

  • 7+ years of relevant experience; strong interest in financial services marketing, and experience with asset management and the institutional channel preferred.

  • Possess a strong understanding of public securities, ideally within the firm's focus areas of real estate, infrastructure, renewables and fixed income.

  • Outstanding writing, proofing, formatting and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy. A portfolio of published articles or written work is required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization

  • Analytic and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex topics and write clear and concise insights

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines

  • Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail

  • Team player with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive; ability to work in an unstructured environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Salary Range: $125K - $150K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
