As a Senior Digital Copywriter, you will be a part of this Target Creative team and help drive and lead the digital presence of one of the world's strongest brands. You’ll create effective and innovative digital content for Target.com, email marketing and other digital-specific channels. You will write in the Target brand voice, balanced with a clear, concise, easy-to-navigate messaging approach across editorial and promotional copy. You will be looked to as an expert within digital-specific writing best practices and will lead in the transcreation of campaigns to digital-specific executions along with adapting and applying the work across categories. You’ll be asked to merge consumer insights/data with creative best practices, as well as quickly adapt to shifting priorities and build strong relationships across the enterprise with business partners. You will also partner with leadership to bring a writing perspective to digital initiatives.
In this position, you’ll ultimately champion the company’s purpose, values and direction, while supporting Target Creative’s strategies, goals and objectives. You must be comfortable working in white space and with ambiguity and within a weekly publishing timeline, juggling a variety of needs with quick changes and have the ability to take on a wide range of projects and balance a large capacity of work across all media types. You’ll be challenged to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and innovations in digital marketing/ecommerce. You’ll be asked to seek creative solutions to overcome obstacles, ensure the accuracy of your copy and master the processes and tools required for daily work. You will also be asked to step in and lead and guide work when needed and provide feedback, coaching and guidance when appropriate to enhance others’ skill development, including mentorships.

About You:
4-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience
5-6+ years digital/ecommerce copywriting experience, and/or a mastery of digital writing
Portfolio of creative work showcasing exceptional digital writing
Deep knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing best practices
Proven ability to apply a consistent brand voice to brand work across multiple categories and digital channels
User-experience-first messaging approach and ability to apply a strategic lens to writing
Skilled in managing and executing complex projects at many different stages
Comfortable working within white space and with ambiguity
Desire and ability to work within a weekly publishing timeline
Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to provide feedback and guidance while leading work
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
