The Social Media & Creative Marketing Intern will help bring the university’s stories, events, and campus community to life through engaging, on-brand social media and creative content.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design and content teams to develop and execute the content planner
- Capture photographs and video at campus events, student activities, and university initiatives
- Turn event coverage, student stories, and campus moments into eye-catching social media graphics, stories, reels, short-form videos, and captions for multiple digital platforms
- Design simple creative assets for digital communication and other marketing needs
- Maintain a consistent visual style, voice, and brand presence across social media and marketing materials
- Upload, organize, and maintain the university’s photo and digital asset library
- Stay current on social media trends and recommend fresh content ideas that encourage engagement
- Monitor digital channels and respond to inquiries through social media
- Support other exciting marketing and engagement projects as needed
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Enthusiasm for social media, visual storytelling, photography, and creative content
- Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
- Basic design and editing skills; Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools preferred
- Understanding of visual branding, layout, typography, color, and engaging digital content
- Strong writing, communication, organization, and proofreading skills
- Ability to work collaboratively, take feedback constructively, and balance multiple creative projects
