PositionOverview:-
Tru Inc is seeking a SEO + Marketing Strategist. We have one (1) Permanent position available for an immediate start.
This role owns the search, content, and discovery engine behind Maxeltracker — our AI-native, privacy-first productivity and coaching platform for SMB operators. The brief is specific: take Maxeltracker from invisible in AI Overviews and under-indexed on review sites to a named option in the productivity analytics category within twelve months.
You will own SEO strategy and execution, AI search optimization, review-generation, content, and paid-channel budgets. This is a hands-on strategy role, not an oversight role.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Own the Maxeltracker SEO program end-to-end — keyword strategy, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and internal linking — targeting employee productivity, workforce analytics, and monitoring-software search intent.
- Ship and maintain the AI-search optimization layer: llms.txt, Schema.org Product and Comparison markup, passage-level citable content, and on-page structure that earns citations in AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, and Perplexity.
- Consolidate existing comparison content into a single /compare hub and lead the full content calendar across blog, landing pages, vertical pages (BPO, EdTech, agencies), and case studies.
- Run a compliant review-generation program across G2, Capterra, GetApp, and Software Advice — targeting 100+ reviews in ninety days through direct customer outreach.
- Define and track full-funnel growth metrics — organic traffic, freemium signups, trial-to-paid conversion, MQL-to-SQL rates — and report weekly to the Founder with decisions, not dashboards.
- Partner with the product team on messaging for the homepage, pricing page, and vertical landing pages. Write the copy yourself where the copy needs to move fast.
- Manage paid search and paid social budgets against CAC, LTV, and payback targets. Kill what is not working inside thirty days.
- Own the competitive intelligence feed — track ActivTrak, Hubstaff, Insightful, Time Doctor, and Teramind positioning and pricing shifts, and feed findings into the quarterly strategy review.
Required:-
- 2–5 years of combined SEO and digital marketing experience for B2B SaaS or product-led growth companies.
- Proven technical SEO record — schema implementation, Core Web Vitals fixes, crawl-budget optimization, and site architecture work that moved rankings.
- Working fluency in Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, and at least one CMS (WordPress or Webflow).
- Demonstrated experience with AI search optimization — llms.txt, passage-level content design, and structured data for AI citation.
- Strong long- and short-form copywriting — landing pages, meta titles and descriptions, comparison pages, and email.
- Comfort setting up and operating attribution across paid and organic channels. You know what a dirty UTM looks like.
Preferred Experience:-
- B2B SaaS experience in HR tech, productivity, or workforce analytics categories.
- Hands-on experience building and running review-generation programs on G2, Capterra, or similar platforms — including incentive-compliance working knowledge.
- Fluency using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) inside daily content, research, and SEO workflows.
- Exposure to product-led growth funnels — freemium-to-paid conversion, activation metrics, and self-serve onboarding instrumentation.
