BookMyShow is India’s biggest entertainment company. We are the go to entertainment platform for millions of transacting users who watch movies and out of home entertainment. We also produce and manage the biggest music events, live performances, sports, plays across India such as Lollapalooza, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Bandland, Guns N’ Roses, U2, Cirque De Soleil, Indian Premier League and others.

From the wild ecstasy of Lollapalooza to the soulful strains of Coldplay, the fiery chords of Ed Sheeran, the rebellious anthems of Guns N’ Roses, the celestial hymns of U2, the whimsical enchantment of Cirque du Soleil, and the roaring fervor of the Indian Premier League, we orchestrate a pantheon of experiences that dazzle the subcontinent. Our rocket ship launched in 2007 and we are travelling at breakneck speed as we create communities and redefine the entertainment experience space in India; we are literally defining the concert economy.

We are looking for experienced copywriter who has successfully demonstrated a strong ability to connect with customers through innovative storytelling. The right candidate will be an enthusiastic problem solver, who has a passion for creating original content through collaboration with a creative team of designers, art directors, design technologists, prototypers, motion and video experts.They must be able to deliver clean, on brand solutions that elevate our messaging. This candidate will have proven success translating business goals into compelling copy, driving performance, testing and initiatives across all product of BookMyShow.
 
Your expertise will include strong technical writing skills and the ability to put yourself in the shoes of a range of roles including marketing and the customer. You will work with creative, marketing and business teams to determine what campaign needs to be created. The ideal candidate is an independent and curious self-starter with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, engaging content for a variety of deliverables and audiences, while driving and leading documentation of projects.
 

Your Profile

 

  1. Will develop and extend consistent voice throughout the customer journey (onsite and off, across digital media, video, mobile, and print platforms that connect BookMyShow to customers).
  2. Will deliver high-quality, on-brand copy solutions. Ensure the copy is clear, true, on-brand, and meets all legal, partner, and best practice requirements
  3. Will partner with design to concept “big ideas,” and to help ensure visual and copy elements work together in each placement.
  4. Build master copy docs to influence downstream channels.
  5. Will translate marketing strategies into creative execution, partnering with marketing, content, product, legal, UX, and other stakeholder teams to ensure that content meets brand and business objectives.
  6. Will distill complex creative concepts to understandable copy solutions and clearly rationalize strategic thinking and messaging rationale to stakeholders.
  7. Proofread and edit final assets using all relevant rules and style guides. Must have a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, usage, and mechanics

 

Your Checklist

 

  1. 4+ years of relevant copywriting experience at an agency and/or large brand
  2. Have samples of work that demonstrate branding, marketing and customer-centred copy solutions
  3. Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables at one time to meet aggressive deadlines.
  4. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  5. Experience writing short and long form copy across multiple online and offline marketing channels
  6. Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables at one time to meet aggressive deadlines
  7. Ability to understand and respond to customer data and testing, steering the strategy
  8. A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to turn raw ideas into beautiful and compelling copy for consumers.
  9. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and previous experience driving creative strategy with stakeholders
