PROGRAM SUMMARY
At Columbia Sportswear, we offer college students an opportunity to join our team and help solve real business problems during our 10‑week summer internship at our Headquarters in Carlsbad, California. Interns gain hands‑on experience within their assigned department while building partnerships with teams and fellow interns.

The Marketing Intern will support key initiatives across the Marketing department, gaining hands-on experience in brand marketing, digital marketing, and campaign execution. This role is designed to provide meaningful project work, professional development, and exposure to cross-functional partners. The intern will complete a capstone project to be presented at the end of the program.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Support the execution of marketing campaigns and seasonal initiatives
Gather, organize, and analyze market research and consumer insights
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Creative, eComm, and Social
Contribute ideas and assist in developing content for prAna social channels
Participate in weekly team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project updates
Assist with assembling PR seeding boxes for product launches
Support administrative needs such as asset organization, calendar updates, sample coordination, and event support
Complete an intern project that advances team goals and present your work at the end of the program
YOU ARE
A collaborative team player who enjoys working across departments
Creative, curious, and enthusiastic about sharing new ideas
Organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable taking on new challenges and learning through hands‑on experience
Confident participating in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and group discussions
YOU HAVE
A strong interest in marketing, brand storytelling, or social media
The ability to organize and synthesize information, including market research and consumer insights
Clear communication skills for partnering with diverse teams
A foundational understanding of social platforms and content trends
Strong organizational skills to support asset management, calendars, samples, and event coordination
The ability to lead a project from start to final presentation
