The Marketing Intern will serve as a supporting member of the Clinical, Brand and Foundation Marketing teams, coordinating and assisting with the execution of integrated marketing initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in healthcare marketing while supporting day-to-day production, workflow management and campaign implementation. The intern will assist with project coordination, research, content development, digital updates and reporting, helping ensure marketing initiatives are delivered on time, on brand and aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating and assisting in the execution of multi-channel marketing initiatives across Clinical, Brand and Foundation teams
• Supporting the development of creative briefs, timelines and project documentation
• Assisting in routing projects through the digital project management system and helping track milestones, approvals and deadlines
• Conducting market and competitive research to support campaign planning and positioning
• Assisting with drafting, editing and optimizing content for print and digital channels, including website updates (choa.org)
• Coordinating logistics for fundraising marketing initiatives and sponsorship activations
• Providing pre- and post-production support for marketing materials and campaigns
• Compiling data and assisting in building performance reports and competitive analyses
• Attending internal and stakeholder meetings to capture notes and support follow-up action items
• Assisting in maintaining brand standards and consistency across deliverables
• Providing general production and administrative support to marketing liaisons as needed
The Children's Summer Intern program allows interns the opportunity to gain hands-on experience related to their field of study by working on meaningful projects alongside Children’s professionals. Intern responsibilities may include project management, event planning and support, logistics, data base management, research, and analysis. Interns may explore career paths and apply for full-time positions upon successful completion of the program.
Experience
- Research area: research experience necessary either through previous internship, work experience, or course work; practical knowledge about the conduct of research principals required
Preferred Qualifications
- Progression toward an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising or related field
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Analytical mindset with interest in reporting and performance metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CMS or project management systems preferred
Education
Clinical Focus:
- College student with at least two years in a health sciences related program, such as pre-med, nursing, biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, or statistics, or post graduate student working toward a Master’s of Science in public health or medical degree
Non-Clinical Focus:
- College or graduate student that is currently working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or other related field, required

Job Responsibilities
