The Marketing Internship is a 6+ month opportunity designed to support the planning and implementation of enhanced communications and marketing processes within the Network’s Marketing Department. The intern will collaborate closely with Senior Marketing Partners to assist in creating and editing social media posts and other communications. Additionally, the Marketing Project Specialist may be asked to provide support on various projects and activities as needed, under the direction of the Senior Marketing Partners and Regional Directors.


This internship description intends to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this internship and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the requirements that may be asked during the internship.

INTERNSHIP DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support internal and external marketing campaigns of various kinds. Work with additional teams (design, digital, editorial etc.) to promote network services and programs. Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information. Demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices. Work independently to complete tasks by assigned deadlines. Collaborate with a team to work on projects and group-based problem-solving. Complete all projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

 Other related duties as assigned. 

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Requires sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 2 hours at a time.  Standing for up to 4 hours per day, 3 hours at a time.  Requires occasional fingering, handling, and twisting and turning while entering data into the computer.  Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.  Occasionally requires reaching above shoulder level.  Must have the ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general, peripheral and near vision, visual monotony.

SUPERVISION (RECEIVED BY AND/OR GIVEN TO):

Supervised by Senior Marketing Partner

COMMUNICATIONS:

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills required for communicating with all levels throughout the organization and outside agencies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination is preferred but not required.

  • Must be willing to commit to an internship of six months or longer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Applicants should be enrolled or recent graduate of a 4-year bachelor’s program for Marketing, Advertising, Business, Journalism, Communications, or related. 

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Customer service experience in any industry.

  • Writing experience for social media, blogs, or professional communications.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace products.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Basic understanding of marketing principles, branding, and digital engagement strategies.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Normally day shift with varying hours based on the needs of the department. 

May be required to attend Network events outside of normal business hours
