Job Summary

Job Description

At SPARK TSL, our mission is simple: making life better, with connections that matter. We build technology that changes the experience of being in a place — whether that’s a hospital bedside, a busy transport hub, or a hotel lobby. Across two flagship products, we connect people to what they need, wherever they are.

Our SPARK Fusion® platform sits at hundreds of hospital bedsides across England and the Netherlands, keeping patients connected, and our SPARK Connect® product powers public WiFi, the quiet infrastructure behind millions of daily connections.

We’re now looking for a Marketing Manager (AI-first) to join us at a pivotal moment. This is an exciting role with opportunities opening across international territories and a fast-expanding product portfolio.

Why this role?

This role sits at the heart of SPARK TSL’s growth strategy. You’ll define what AI-first, modern B2B marketing looks like in practice inside a technology company scaling across two markets.

This is not a conventional marketing role focused on briefing agencies and waiting for results. You’ll have the freedom to choose your own stack, create your AI agents imagine and build something from scratch with real headroom to grow into senior marketing leadership as SPARK TSL scales.

This role is a hybrid opportunity based mostly from home, with attendance at our new office in the centre of Bristol around once a fortnight. Occasional UK travel to NHS Trusts, partner sites and SPARK TSL events

We offer a competitive starting salary of £50k dependent on experience plus a performance-linked bonus, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Life insurance, a minimum of 33 annual leave days including bank holidays, medical cash plan, salary sacrifice pension scheme, mental health and counselling support, gym membership, retail discounts and more.

Why SPARK TSL?

People join SPARK TSL because they want:

  • Purpose and impact: marketing that genuinely helps patients, improves healthcare experiences and connects people in the places they move through every day

  • Ownership and trust: you have the freedom to build the operating model, choose the tools and define what good looks like

  • International scope: working across the UK and Europe, with the opportunity to help open new markets

  • A seat at the table: direct access to the CCO and CEO, with real influence over how SPARK TSL is positioned and perceived

  • Your own budget: a personal annual envelope for AI tools, design software, video kit and experiments — generous and unbureaucratic

  • A supportive, people-first culture: grounded in curiosity, honesty and doing the right thing

The impact you’ll have

You’ll help ensure that SPARK TSL’s marketing includes:

  • An AI-first methodology - across the whole function including generative engine optimisation (GEO) so SPARK TSL is the answer when a prospect asks ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity about our solutions.

  • Our LinkedIn presence — channel content for SPARK TSL and thought leadership. Planned, drafted, scheduled, measured.

  • Long-form content — NHS-policy-aligned articles, case studies, technical explainers, partner co-content on sparktsl.com.

  • Email sequences in HubSpot — nurture, re-engagement, event invites, post-meeting follow-ups, segmented by persona and territory.

  • Video and short-form — customer testimonials filmed on Trust visits, product walkthroughs, and conference clips. You shoot it, you edit it.

  • Events — from the Apple Executive Briefing Centre to Digital Health Rewired to the Building Better Healthcare Awards. You’ll run our presence end-to-end.

  • A Global Outreach Programme — using AI to research and map hospital systems and feeding qualified opportunities to our commercial team.

Who this role suits

This role will suit someone who:

  • Has experience of B2B marketing, ideally in healthcare, technology, SaaS or professional services

  • Work with internal teams and customers to listen, learn and understand the messaging that will resonate with our customers and prospects

  • Will take guidance, but is empowered to take accountability and ownership for your own ideas and strategy

  • Uses AI tools every day — large language models, image and video generation — as a genuine part of how they work, not as a novelty

  • Is comfortable writing their own copy, editing their own video and designing their own assets (Canva, CapCut, Descript and basic Figma)

  • Has hands-on HubSpot experience — building sequences, lists and dashboards without needing support

  • Is confident in a room with an NHS Trust CNIO, an Apple partner manager, a transport operator or a hospitality group CFO

  • Measures everything and is comfortable saying when something isn’t working

  • Brings curiosity and accountability in equal measure — explores ideas, ships, learns and adjusts

It’s a role where creativity, commercial instinct and a genuine love of learning matter as much as experience.
