Dog Walker and Social Media Content Creator
Shoreline Happy PawsPart-time, about 25 hours a week | $20 to $25 per hour, W-2 | Path to Full-Time | Hiring immediately
Connecticut Shoreline area: Old Saybrook, Essex, Ivoryton, Centerbrook, Westbrook, Clinton, Madison, Old Lyme, Lyme, Deep River, Chester, Killingworth, East Lyme, Niantic.
Shoreline Happy Paws has been trusted by local families since 2010. Our trained team walks and hikes dogs every week, and we want our neighbors to see the care behind every visit. That is your job: part dog walking, part telling our story.
What you'll do
- Walk and hike a regular group of dogs each week, with full training
- Film and edit 3 short videos a week for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Take photos, design carousels in Canva, and post daily Stories
- Write captions in our warm, helpful voice
- Share our Founder's weekly blog across our platforms
- Capture behind-the-scenes moments with the team and at community events
- Track results and share a short monthly report on what is working
Non-negotiables
- You show up and you communicate. On time, responsive, and a clear yes or no
- Dogs come first. Safety always wins over getting the shot
- You are comfortable on camera, and you have a portfolio of video, photo, and design work to share
- Everything you make is real. Our content is 100% organic. No AI-written captions, no AI-generated images, no em dashes.
- You give and receive feedback openly, and you ask questions when something is unclear
- You protect our clients' privacy. Nothing identifiable about their homes ever appears in a post
- You own it. Once trained, the calendar runs without reminders
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, generally 8am to 1pm or 9am to 2pm
- Occasional evening or weekend events, 1 to 2 hours, with advance notice
- In person: our Old Saybrook office, clients' homes, local trails, and events
Pay and benefits
- $20 to $25 per hour, based on your animal care and content creation experience
- Paid time off and mileage reimbursement
- Paid training, including Pet First Aid and CPR certification
- Camera equipment provided: Insta360, Meta glasses, and a HOVERAir drone
Requirements
- 18 or older, with a valid driver's license and your own reliable car
- A smartphone that films in 4K
- Able to walk and hike several miles a day in all weather and handle dogs of all sizes
- Background check and signed employment agreement
Growth

Finalists complete a paid test project ($150): a 30 to 45 second video filmed with one of our walkers. In your applicaiton, please provide examples of your part work or portfolio.
