The Role
As our Director of SEO, you’ll own strategy for our top 10 client accounts, guide our growing team, and be the go-to expert when the tough questions come up. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and execution — and you’ll love it.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Lead SEO strategy for our top 10 priority accounts — these are the ones that matter most, and require the most advanced strategy.
- Spot growth opportunities across organic search and work with the team to seize them with urgency and creativity.
- Build scalable frameworks, playbooks, and best practices that raise the bar for how we do SEO — and make everyone’s work better.
- Be the strategic backbone for account managers — the person they come to when they’re stuck and leave feeling confident.
- Mentor and develop a small team of specialists; your success is measured by their growth, too.
- Analyze performance relentlessly, translate data into clear actions, and never stop optimizing.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and setting them up for long-term success from day one.
- Stay sharp on industry trends and bring fresh thinking to the table constantly.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a proven track record of results you’re proud of.
- Deep technical SEO knowledge — crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, schema, the works.
- Strong analytical skills; you’re comfortable with data and use it to tell compelling stories.
- Experience managing high-value client accounts and navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
- A natural ability to lead, coach, and bring out the best in the people around you.
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain SEO to a CEO and a developer in the same breath.
- Familiarity with local SEO, multi-location brands, or local service businesses is a big plus.
