Walker & Dunlop’s Summer Internship Program provides a dynamic environment for students to learn aspects of the commercial real estate finance industry. Each year, W&D invites a distinguished group of interns to participate in a ten-week training and mentoring program to help build their skills and learn about the organization. Interns will play supporting and individual contributor roles and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our business through hands-on training.  

Our marketing team focuses on building and promoting the W&D brand to ensure that everyone understands the benefits of W&D.  Our specialized marketing experts collaborate to provide excellent service internally and externally. Our marketing specialties include: Brand & Content, Creative, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Digital (Web, Email, Advertising, Ops, & Analytics), Communications/PR, and Events.

The Digital Marketing Intern will be responsible for supporting digital marketing managers in building, testing, deploying, and measuring advertising campaigns (PPC & trade publications). 

This role represents an exciting opportunity to get exposure to a wide range of digital channels and tactics in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. An eye for detail, eagerness to learn new skills, high degree of adaptability, and a collaborative attitude will be critical to your success.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Build, test, and analyze advertising campaigns with guidance from advertising manager. 
  • Assist with cleaning and importing targeting lists into ad platforms. 
  • Assist with ad campaign performance measurement and reporting.
  • Coordinate with content, creative, web, and email teams to develop ad creative and obtain requisite stakeholder approvals.
  • Proofread and test ad creative as part of existing quality assurance processes. 
  • Coordinate with ad buying agency to manage PPC ad campaigns.
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve processes and documentation. 
  • Help keep project statuses up-to-date in Asana. 

 Education and Experience 

  • Must be enrolled in/graduated from full-time and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an undergraduate program at an accredited university 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S. 
  • Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA 
  • Must be able to commit to a six-month period beginning June 1st and ending December 18th.  
  • Relevant work experience a plus
