Loblaw Social Centre of Excellence is currently looking for a Copywriter to join our social team, focusing on our Control Brands portfolio (President’s Choice, no name and PC Optimum). We’re looking for a storyteller—someone who can take an insight and craft a compelling and relatable narrative that will get someone to click.

What You'll Do
Handle all aspects of copywriting (strategize, ideate, conceptualize, message strategy, write, edit), collaborating with Associate Creative Director as needed
Lead presentations of creative concepts and messaging to various marketing teams and Senior Management
Incorporate research findings provided by the consumer insights team to ensure concepts are insights-driven
Keep abreast of social and advertising trends, consumer surveys and other data regarding marketing specific to goods and services
Use organizational skills to maintain systems/processes that provide structure to workflow of copy within the creative department
Contribute to the creative process, by generating ideas for marketing initiatives
Adjust writing tone, language and message to address different channels based on audiences and insights
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 5+ years’ experience copywriting, advertising or communications, ideally in an agency environment
Extreme attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to use minimal character counts to maximum effect
Understanding of industry best practices and expertise in social content creation and digital marketing
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
Confident in presenting and articulating their work
Team player – able to collaborate with all levels of internal and external partners
Ability to present and justify creative ideas and concepts
Knowledge of the marketplace and industries we operate in, creative strategy, and the competitive landscape
