About Us:
Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, Member-owned, and locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities of Membership. We have 25 locations throughout East Tennessee and we serve more than 300,000 Members. The Credit Union helps Members grow financially by offering a variety of accounts including: checking, savings and investments. Also offered are competitive loan rates on new and used autos and recreational vehicles, mortgages, personal loans and credit cards.
Pay: Starting Range is $20.00 - $22.00, depending on work experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ADVERTISING:
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of Credit Union products and services and use that knowledge to generate compelling material to attract new Members and increase current Member product usage.
- Portray products and services in a captivating and relevant manner to increase usage and support overall efforts to meet Credit Union goals.
- Actively identify advertising opportunities/trends and assertively optimize those opportunities in real-time.
- Align all advertising efforts within the brand voice, brand guidelines and Credit Union standards.
- Assist with additional Advertising duties, as needed.
MARKETING:
- Create original, compelling content to be used in a broad range of media. Media includes but is not limited to
- Advertorials
- Audio scripts for videos, radio, commercials, and other placements
- Blogs
- Brochures
- Cards
- Digital Ad copy
- Email to Members
- Flyers
- Hand Outs for Branches and Departments
- Letters to Staff and Members

- Develop and implement original copy on a timely basis to meet creative deadlines.
- Push member acquisition and member onboarding with clear messaging and call-to-action statement.
- Ideate core marketing message for marketing campaigns and promotions copy concepts individually and collaboratively with the creative marketing team.
- Brainstorm copy and visual ideas with others in the creative marketing team to match textual and visual elements.
- Technical copyediting (proofreading) for all marketing materials; consistently identify and correct errors related to the use of English language (e.g., spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax), the Brand Book and Associated Press stylebook.
- Edit marketing materials to ensure the meaning of the copy (sentence construction and language clarity) aligns with overall marketing initiative/objective of the project.
- Verify accuracy of phone numbers, digital links, digital buttons, steps, directions and other content where precision is important.
- Create a copy library archive with user-friendly file system for easy accessibility.
- Ensure all content published aligns within the brand voice, brand guidelines and Credit Union standards.
- Intentionally align all copywriting projects with Credit Union goals.
- Assist with additional Marketing duties, as needed.
COMMUNITY/PUBLIC RELATIONS:
- Collaborate with branch staff, department staff, and other community sponsors for valuable content to create meaningful messages for promoting the Credit Union and the Credit Union’s community relations.
- Participate in community and branch events.
- Support Credit Union events like Shred Day, Member Appreciation Day, Annual Meeting and Open House.
- Assist with additional Community/Public Relations events, as needed.
COMMUNICATIONS:
- Develop and execute compelling content through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
- Communicate, inform, and persuade Members to take action and use more services; for Prospects to take action to learn more about Credit Union services and to join the Credit Union.
- Collect content from others in the Marketing team, departments and branches to curate content showcasing Credit Union’s products and services, initiatives, brand, and culture.
- Assist with additional Communications efforts, as needed.
Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior and performance).
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Work cooperatively with others.
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or other relevant field preferred; Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
