Job Summary:
The Content Writer creates technically accurate, high-quality content to support product marketing and sales enablement for Vertiv’s critical power solutions. This includes writing brochures, data sheets, application notes, video scripts, and other sales tools (except for advertising or press materials). The role requires translating complex electrical engineering and power management concepts into clear, persuasive content. Key responsibilities include collaborating with SMEs, staying current on product launches, and ensuring all materials meet stakeholder standards for accuracy and effectiveness in marketing and sales contexts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop marketing content for product launches, applying technical expertise to suggest relevant assets and create materials based on inputs from offering and portfolio marketing teams.
- Create sales enablement materials such as brochures, data sheets, product pages, application briefs, etc. to support global sales teams in understanding new products.
- Write and edit content in clear, concise English, ensuring clarity, completeness, accuracy, and high quality across all materials.
- Manage the full content development workflow from concept to delivery, including timelines, revisions, stakeholder approvals, and final output quality.
- Work closely with Portfolio Marketing and offering management, engineering, launch leads, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct SME interviews as needed to gather technical details and ensure content precision.
- Communicate content status proactively to stakeholders and manage multiple complex project schedules across product lines and business units.
- Ensure all content adheres to Vertiv’s brand voice and tone, maintains consistency in messaging, and aligns with global marketing objectives.
- Maintain accuracy and revision control by incorporating feedback from approvers and ensuring all final drafts complete required review processes
- Stay current with Vertiv’s evolving product portfolio, marketing strategies, and industry trends.
- Participate in training, team knowledge-sharing sessions, and self-directed learning to continuously improve writing quality, technical understanding, and strategic alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field; experience in power management or the electrical engineering industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of technical writing experience in technology, infrastructure, or data center sectors. Proven experience producing diverse content types including video scripts, white papers, product descriptions, data sheets, blogs, landing pages, brochures, sales enablement materials, product video scripts and social media content.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to quickly grasp complex engineering concepts and power management solutions, translating technical information into clear, persuasive content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- SME Collaboration: Experience conducting SME interviews, interpreting technical information, and incorporating research into content development.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end content workflows, including project planning, stakeholder coordination, revision control, and timely delivery across multiple projects and global teams.
- Communication Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English; excellent technical writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), digital asset management (DAM) tools, and desktop publishing software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro).
- Product Marketing: Experience writing for product marketing, adapting messaging for different audiences and markets.
- Portfolio: Demonstrated range across technical papers, articles, product descriptions, sales enablement materials, and digital content.
- Collaboration: Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills; effective in working with engineers, SMEs, product managers, and global stakeholders.
