Full-time
On-site
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia

The Septennial Group is a diversified group of companies across financial planning, lending, accounting, business advisory, property, legal and more, with a clear focus on the impact we make in our clients’ lives Australia wide.   Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a creative and hands-on Content Creator to join our head office team.

The Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being behind the camera, in the edit, and in the moment, capturing real stories and bringing them to life through thoughtful, well crafted content. You’ll be creating content across multiple brands, from client case studies and interviews through to construction progress, property, internal team content, events and campaign driven social media.

No two weeks will look the same. This isn’t about trend driven content or heavy effects. We care about real moments, strong storytelling, and content that genuinely connects our brands to the people we serve.

Working closely with our marketing team, we lead the strategy and interviews; you bring it to life through how it’s captured, shaped, and delivered.

We’re building a content library that shows the real impact we have; how our projects come to life, how our people operate, and what changes for our clients as a result. This isn’t about documenting what we do; it’s about showing what changes because of it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Film content as required across campaigns and brands, based on shoot plans developed with the marketing team
  • Capture high-quality photography across all of the above
  • Edit video content into strong, engaging stories (hero videos, short-form, social)
  • Identify key moments, emotion and narrative within raw footage
  • Shape content that feels natural, considered and relevant to the audience
  • Work with the marketing team on shoot planning, story flow and content structure
  • Manage footage, file storage and content libraries
  • Ensure all content is delivered to a high standard and ready for use across campaigns

About you

You understand that good content isn’t just well shot, it connects, holds attention, and has a purpose. You are someone who cares about how content feels, not just how it looks. You’re comfortable working across a variety of environments, from client homes to active construction sites, and you’re just as happy capturing polished content as you are shooting something more raw and in the moment.

You have the following core skills –

  • Strong video shooting skills (camera, lighting, audio)
  • Strong editing skills, clean, well-paced, and engaging
  • Confidence in photography (not just pulling stills from video)
  • A natural instinct for storytelling
  • An understanding of digital content and what works
  • Ability to capture natural, unscripted moments
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage shoots end-to-end

Bonus Skills

  • Short form content creation
  • Multi brand experience
  • Understanding of content within campaigns

Equipment & Tools of the Trade

We recognise that experienced creators often have their own preferred equipment and setup.

We’re open to working with the successful candidate to ensure you have the right tools for the role, whether that means using your existing equipment, supplementing it with company-purchased items, or a combination of both.

Our focus is on making sure you’re set up for success and have access to whatever is needed to consistently deliver high-quality content.

This is a full-time role based in our Surfers Paradise Corporate office.
