Role Overview:

As a Multilingual Copywriter & Translator, you will play a crucial role in translating and localizing content for European languages. You’ll work closely with our Creative team to ensure all copy is not only linguistically correct but also adapted to fit the local cultural context, making it feel native to each audience. Your creative flair will help ensure that the translation is compelling and tailored to each specific market while maintaining brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate marketing materials, including website content, ad copy, and social media posts, from English to target European languages 
  • Work with the Creative team to ensure that translations are culturally relevant, capturing the tone, humor, and nuances of the original content.
  • Ensure that the translated content doesn’t feel like a direct translation but resonates naturally in the local language, adapting copy to fit local context (e.g., local idioms, expressions, and preferences).
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Strategist and other team members to streamline the translation process, ensuring content is delivered in a timely manner without compromising quality.
  • Maintain consistency in brand voice and tone across all languages while tailoring content for specific regional audiences.
  • Assist with translation of new campaigns, product descriptions, and other marketing materials as the company expands into new regions.
  • Ensure all translated content is proofread, error-free, and optimized for marketing effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date with local language trends, cultural references, and marketing practices in the regions you work with.


Requirements
  • Fluency in European languages (additional languages are a plus).
  • Experience in translation and copywriting in a marketing or advertising context.
  • Strong understanding of localization, including adapting marketing content for different cultures, tones, and target audiences.
  • Ability to enhance and adapt content creatively—making it more engaging in the target language, not just an exact translation.
  • Proven experience working in digital marketing, with knowledge of advertising, social media, and e-commerce.
  • Familiarity with local market trends and cultural nuances in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and potentially other European countries.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free content.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple translation projects and deadlines.

Bonus Skills:

  • Previous experience working in the experience-based marketing industry (e.g., travel, events, gifting).
  • Knowledge of local suppliers or industry connections in the regions you will be working with.
  • Experience with translation tools or content management systems.
