CSC is looking for a skilled Search Marketing Manager to lead our SEO, PPC, and website conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives, sitting within the Digital Marketing team and reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing. This hybrid role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of B2B digital marketing and expertise in both organic and paid search. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and strategic, with a proven track record of driving results through holistic search strategies. You will oversee a talented team focused on maximizing visibility, engagement, and conversions across organic and paid search channels. Experience with data-driven decision-making, a strong understanding of search trends, and an interest in tackling the emerging implications of generative AI search are a must. 

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Search Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and lead an integrated B2B search marketing strategy that encompasses SEO,  PPC, and CRO aligning with broader business goals and supporting digital marketing strategies to demonstrate ROI.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of SEO, PPC, and CRO specialists, creating a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Thought Leadership: Act as the internal expert in all things related to organic and paid search marketing, interacting with colleagues at all levels of seniority and responsibility. 
  • SEO Optimization: Oversee both front-end and backend SEO, leveraging the latest techniques and trends to enhance visibility in organic search results in both traditional and generative AI search engines. Coordinate with business unit marketing managers and content teams to ensure content strategies and content output are aligned to SEO needs such as through topic clusters and pillage page development.
  • Paid Search Management: Direct paid search strategy and execution, including keyword research, ad copy creation, bid management, and performance optimization, ensuring alignment with SEO and CRO efforts.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: You’re bringing potential customers to the website, but what happens when they get there? Drive CRO initiatives across the website, implementing and testing strategies to improve user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics tools to track, measure, and report on search marketing performance, interpreting data to refine strategies and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Generative AI Search Optimization: Stay ahead of AI-driven search changes, adjusting strategies to capture new opportunities in the evolving search landscape.

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?

  • 7+ years of experience in search marketing, with a strong B2B background and proven success in both SEO and paid search. Experience in finance a plus. 
  • Comfort in providing a consultative experience to internal customers and stakeholders is a must—customer-facing agency experience is preferred
  • Expertise in both technical and on-page SEO, as well as paid search management, with a solid understanding of CRO principles
  • Experience managing and developing a team of search and CRO professionals
  • Proficiency with analytics and enterprise search marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SEMrush, Brightedge, Conductor)
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data insights to drive decision-making and strategy optimization 
  • Strong understanding of generative AI search trends and implications
  • Proximity to Wilmington, DE and ability to come into the office 2 – 3 days per week
