Job summary: 

The Organic Search Team is seeking a high-performing candidate who has already mastered the fundamentals of Search Engine Optimization and is prepared to contribute value at the enterprise level. In this role, you'll have the chance to utilize top-tier tools and platforms, and cultivate a broad range of cross-team partnerships as you manage organic search programs, monitor program performance, and aim to deliver positive business outcomes.

As a Search Engine Optimization Strategist in the Organic Search Team, you will have the chance to apply your Search Engine Optimization skills on a large scale. You will utilize top-tier tools and platforms, foster relationships across teams, oversee organic search initiatives, monitor performance, and contribute to positive business outcomes. Your role will extend beyond just reporting and measuring, as you will present to internal clients and high-level stakeholders, providing clear performance and optimization suggestions. Your enthusiasm for digital marketing and Search Engine Optimization strategy will be crucial to your success in this position.

Job responsibilities:

  • Expand the LOB’s organic footprint across all non-brand and brand phases of the customer journey
  • Manage publication of search optimized content, identify new content opportunities, and measure page performance
  • Identify upcoming trends and coordinate a strategy for how to best position JPMC for the changing organic landscape
  • Produce quantitative reporting and qualitative explanations on weekly/monthly performance
  • Help manage external tools partners and platforms
  • Oversee internal content competition and prevent any potential keyword cannibalization
  • Strategically plan site migrations, developing all deliverables such as search behavior analysis and migration mapping

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant SEO experience 
  • Ability to develop, execute and maintain SEO strategies and provide analysis
  • Evaluate and improve current SEO processes
  • Manage SEO project workflows across multiple teams
  • Exhibit strong SEO expertise across technical and content skill sets
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of content management
  • Experience with performance analysis, especially within Adobe Analytics
  • Proficiency with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
  • Knowledge of search engine behavior, ranking factors and SERP trends
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and eagerness to work as member of a team 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Agency experience preferred as well as banking, fintech or other financial services experience
  • Experience with one or more SEO industry tools such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog
  • Experience in web publication and familiarity with project management tools such as Adobe Workfront and JIRA
  • Knowledge of JavaScript (JS), CSS, HTML, React or other JS frameworks
