Blue Dog Hospitality is a blossoming restaurant group located in south New Jersey. The group specializes in rehabilitating historic properties and returning them to their former glory, with a heavy dose of modern service and culinary standards. Started in 2020, the group undertook the renovation and management of The Deauville Inn in Strathmere, NJ. With new ownership, leadership and culinary team, the venues' revenues have more than tripled in 2 years and it is now regarded at a go-to destination for summer vacationers. In 2022 they added Yesterday's Tavern, a local watering hole, as well as new concept Right Turn Liquors. After an extensive remodel of the property, the venue has also been flourishing and is now South Jersey's best sports bar. 

The newest addition to the group, Captain Obadiah's Seafood Market, opened summer of 2023 after a brief remodel. This seasonal concept is under additional renovations this off-season and 2024 is expected to set a new standard for crab shack eateries in the area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have support duties in developing and implementing social

media content, in-house marketing strategies. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and advertising team, and senior leadership, in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop,

expand, and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be

prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marketing Intern reports directly to the VP of Operations and is responsible for supporting

the collaborative marketing effort of Blue Dog Hospitality, including but not limited to:

  1. In-House Office Support
  2. Assist in creation of in-house flyers, cards, and posters across all locations
  3.  Scope local marketing opportunities as needed
  4. Social Media, Photography, Videography
  5. Monitor and manage the social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed,
  6. across all locations, according to our marketing objectives
  7. Coordinate with internal departments to deliver all aspects of social media projects
  8.  Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in the social media market, and
  9. relevant industry verticals
  10. Assist in all in-house marketing collateral to include menus, table-top marketing pieces,
  11. posters, displays, etc.
  12. Act as in-house photographer/videographer, taking photos and videos as it pertains to
  13. marketing
  14. Attend weekly BDHG Marketing Strategy Sessions with Senior Leadership


QUALIFICATIONS:

 1+ years of relevant marketing experience

 2+ years in content photography/videography

 Knowledge of Canva and Adobe Illustrator a plus

 Proven ability to be strategic in thinking and execution

 Exceptional ability to navigate all social media platforms, with keen understanding of

production and storytelling is a must

 Strong problem-solving and project management skills

 Ability to manage time and resources optimally to oversee multiple projects

simultaneously in a high volume, fast-paced environment

 Exception written and verbal communications and presentation skills required
