Position Summary:

Responsible for assistance with website content updates, social media management, and internal and external communications within the marketing department, including products, materials, sales tools, and imagery. This position would also gain experience with event planning logistics for a major industry tradeshow as well as possibly other sales events. This position will also provide backup to the materials sampling department and gain knowledge in materials in finishes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Website
    1. Make content updates including adding new images and web copy edits.
    2. Monitor website data and report weekly to marketing department
    3. Gather and track data website and advertising data
    4. Manage and update digital asset library with new images and remove images as requested
  • Social Media
    1. Post content on social media platforms
    2. Assistance in executing the social media marketing plan
    3. Create/audit content on social media
  • Event Planning
    1. Assist with management of hotels and transportation for tradeshow
    2. Assist with Sales celebration planning
    3. Assist in building presentation for Sales Celebration event
    4. Assist with communications to caterers for showroom events
    5. Assist with execution of marketing materials for industry trade shows
  • Material Sampling Process 
    1. Provide backup to the materials sampling department and ship samples to design firms and rep groups as requested
    2. Assist marketing department with keeping sample and brochure library stocked and organized
  • Communications
    1. Assist Sales and Marketing in their weekly communications to internal staff and independent rep network
    2. Update 3rd party industry portals with new images and product information

 Education & Experience:

We are seeking an intern who is pursuing a Marketing or PR Major, preferably Junior or Senior status

Computer Skills

  • Experience in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator is preferred
  • Experience in Google Analytics is a plus
  • Required Workplace Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook
