We are looking for a Marketing & Social Media Intern to assist us in reaching our target market, create brand awareness, and generate sales to new clients in today's emerging economy.

Responsibilities: As the Marketing & Social Media Intern, your position will entail working directly with the Manager of Corporate Communications to:

  • Effectively utilize various social media mediums (ie. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) to promote our Web Content Management platform.
  • Implement short and long-range strategies and plans to identify objectives for marketing penetration and sales opportunities.
  • Develop marketing and communications mediums.
  • Help build and maintain partnerships with other companies.
  • Other duties (as assigned)

We are looking for a candidate who :

  • possesses excellent communication skills, written and oral, in English.
  • has previous knowledge of, experience, and a keen interest in Social Media Marketing and Communications.
  • has experience with Search Engine Marketing, specifically SEO, Local Search, Adwords, and Paid Search.
  • has a strong understanding of the IT industry and social media platforms, and is aware of emerging technologies which would be a plus point for our company.
  • has experience with lead generation through Social Media (Preferred)
  • is an entrepreneurial minded self-starter, and is looking to work in a dynamic and growing organization.
  • enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.
  • is comfortable speaking and emailing with business partners in a professional manner.
  • can be creative and thinks "outside of the box".
  • Bilingual - English/French (Preferred)

The chosen candidate will work between 15-20 hours a week. Candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area to be considered for this position.

Where: Our offices are located at the tip of Downtown Toronto, next to the Union Station and other TTC stops.

Compensation:  This is an unpaid internship. The selected candidate will be compensated for travel expenses and given training. There may also be an opportunity to grow within the company, at which time we may employ the candidate to become a full time consultant.
