Are you creative, hardworking, and looking to gain hands-on experience working on a variety of projects? Bonnet Springs Park is seeking a marketing intern for 10 - 15 hours per week who can contribute fresh ideas, create content, and research industry trends. Interns conduct research and work collaboratively to improve our brand, communications, and strategy. Reporting to the Vice President of Engagement, the ideal candidate has an understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing strategies, as well as an interest in working on high-impact projects. 
 
Essential Responsibilities 
  • Support departments to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives 
  • Complete projects related to branding, content creation, and social media marketing 
  • Assist management with the preparation of campaigns and reports 
  • Perform competitive market analysis to identify areas of opportunity 
  • Play a role throughout the marketing cycle in positioning, messaging, and storytelling 
Essential Functions 
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns that further the company’s strategic goals 
  • Apply marketing concepts to solve organizational challenges  
  • Help with event planning and provide support for in-person events 
  • Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand’s standing 
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks 
  • Research and evaluate competitor marketing material and digital content 
  • Design and present new social media and marketing campaigns 
  • Monitor social media platforms for current trends, ideas and content feedback 
 
Qualifications 
Education 
Enrollment in a college or university, Marketing/Communications or something related as a major or minor, enrolled in a marketing or communications class in the same semester 
 
Experience 
Need to have taken one at least one college-level Marketing or Communications course 
 
Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills 
  • Good organization and time management skills, able to multitask and handle competing priorities 
  • Curious, fast-learning, resourceful, self-motivated, and hardworking 
  • Basic knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics, and tools 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate research into common language 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software 
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Pass a background check and mandatory drug test 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the park’s insurance carrier 
  • Must have good people skills and be comfortable dealing with the public 
  • Must be willing and able to work varied shifts including holidays, weekends, and events 
WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
The work environment is widely varied and spans from quiet indoor office work to loud outdoor work in extreme weather conditions, primarily heat, though cold weather work may be necessary. The candidate must be able to adapt to either condition very quickly as transitioning from indoor to outdoor could occur multiple times per day. 
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The physical demands representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include but are not limited to: regularly required to sit, stand, walk, see, hear, talk, drive and meet with others. Employee must possess conversational hearing, with or without aid, as well as adequate vision and ability to verbally communicate effectively. Additionally, employee must possess dexterity to operate standard office equipment, drive a golf cart and ability to occasionally lift 40 pounds.
